Fablab installation
On 8th May 2009, Fablab machines were brought to ARO. The machines were brought by the president of MIT Fablab Norway Hakoon Karlsen and his wife Gunn Hakoon from Norway.

The Fablab team have since then been trying to put up the lab with the help of Hakoon. The team have managed to install all the machines that have since arrived. The machines brought were;
1) Laser cutting Machine
3) Vinyl cutting machine
4) Desktop Computers (Inveneo) with Ubuntu and Windows XP Operating System
5) LCD projector , Polycam and a Digital Camera
6) Electronic table (Oscilloscope, Soldering equipment etc.)
On Tuesday, ARO staff came to the Fablab for the first practical introduction of the Fablab. They have been very impressed with what they see and we believe they will make use of the Fablab.
FABLAB will be used for solving problems locally, educating the students and for research and development purpose for local needs.
